On January 19, 2010, Erik Kahill will join the UAB School of Business as Sr Director of Development and Alumni Affairs. He comes to UAB from Athens, GA were he served as Director of Development for The University of Georgia's Terry College of Business. Erik also has fund raising and alumni relations experience at Virginia Tech and the University of Florida. While at UGA, Erik and his team were responsible for helping raise over $15 million towards a building campaign for the Terry College of Business. He was also part of the team at the University of Florida's Warrington College of Business Administration that closed the largest gift to UF; $30 million that helped create the William Hough Graduate School of Business.
Erik has a background in finance and is a graduate of James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA. After graduation and prior to entering into a career of fund raising for higher education he worked for Deutsche Bank in New York City in the bank's analyst training program.
At UAB, Erik will nurture a team that will take the UAB and School of Business message to a national audience and bring our alumni and supporters critical information regarding our push to be a destination business school. UAB and the School of Business are excited to have Erik as a part of the UAB Family.
