Cesar graduated from JSU with a B.S. in Psychology and Biology. He also earned his M.A. in Experimental Psychology from UAH. His thesis work examined the effects of priming as well as the psychometric validity of personality assessments in chronic pain populations. He is presently a doctoral student in UAB’s medical clinical psychology program, and his research interests include chronic pain, sleep, and health disparities. For his dissertation, Cesar is examining subjective and objective sleep measures and their longitudinal relationship with pain in knee osteoarthritis patients. Clinically, Cesar is adult health psychology focused, and uses research background to inform behavioral health change in inpatient/outpatient settings that include Spain Rehabilitation Center, Highlands Pain Clinic, Sleep/Wake Disorders Center, and the VA.
