Research Lab:
Dr. Burel Goodin

I completed my undergraduate degree in Neuroscience in 2016 at the University of Colorado, Boulder. I worked for three years as a professional research assistant in a lab that studies pain, emotions, and the placebo effect (directed by Dr. Tor Wager). In the Fall of 2019, I began training in the Medical/Clinical Psychology doctorate program under the mentorship of Dr. Burel Goodin. Currently, I am studying psychological factors that contribute to pain/health outcomes in people with chronic knee pain for my master’s thesis. I am also involved in a new project looking at alternative therapeutic interventions (Mindfulness meditation and trans-cranial direct current stimulation or tDCS) for people with chronic knee pain. I am interested in pain, emotions, psychological wellbeing, and novel treatments for chronic pain conditions.
