Liz is a graduate student in the Medical/Clinical Psychology Doctoral Program at UAB working in Dr. Karen Cropsey's lab. She graduated from Hobart and William Smith Colleges in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a double minor in biology and philosophy. Afterward she worked at the Medical University of South Carolina as a program assistant before attending UAB. She's interested in substance use research in vulnerable populations and is currently working on her master's thesis exploring the impact of modality (in person vs. remote) on a smoking cessation intervention for people in the criminal justice population. In her free time she loves hiking around Birmingham with her dog, exploring new restaurants, and watching football.
