My research focuses on the early life-history of hatchling sea turtles. Specifically, my dissertation research is focused on nest distribution and survival during high-density arribadas, the impacts of predation on nests and hatchlings, and the biology of nest emergence in sea turtles, as well as temperature effects on embryonic turtle physiology. Additionally, I’m interested in emergence and orientation behaviors across sea turtle populations and the overall ecological, conservation, and evolutionary aspects of these behaviors.
