My research interests include whether pre-requisites, remediation, and current reading level determine the success of an open enrollment community college student in Anatomy and Physiology.

I earned my B.S. in Chemistry from Loyola University New Orleans (1997) and my M.S. in Human Genetics from Tulane University (2003). After graduation, I spent six years working in pediatric infectious disease generating and testing HIV and SIV monoclonal antibodies. Currently I am a full-time Anatomy and Physiology instructor at Calhoun Community College in Huntsville, Alabama. Under the guidance of Dr. Karolina Mukhtar, I am pursuing my Ph.D. in Biology focusing on Educational Research.
