Pete received his Ph.D. from the University of Kentucky in 2014. Broadly, his research focuses on public budgeting and finance, and in particular, he examines K-12 funding and the financial ramifications of various education policy issues. In his recent work, he examined where charter schools located across the US and how the recent charter school movement has influenced the revenues and expenditures of traditional public school districts.
