During his 33-year career with the Department of Defense (DoD), Dr. William Mason Beale served in various senior management positions. While at the Pentagon he managed programs and resources totaling more than $50 billion as the United States entered the global war on terrorism. His management ability to lead cooperative DoD efforts ensured mission accomplishment for Secretary of Defense initiatives. As a graduate of UAB’s Master of Public Administration program and selection as a Presidential Management Fellow, Dr. Beale was well qualified to address challenges faced by the Department of Defense.

In addition to his public service career, Dr. Beale served as an adjunct professor for several universities in the national capitol region spanning more than 30 years. His practical experience combined with theoretical understanding offered insightful solutions for graduate and undergraduate student issues.
