Students Forge New Paths Through Birmingham's History
The downtown walking tour was scheduled for a sunny Saturday in April 2016. But the group of about 40 and their UAB student guides soon found themselves reliving another spring morning—Easter Sunday 1963.
Dr. Johnny Bates, Mr. Joseph Meadow, IV, Ms. Joy O’Neal, Mr. Tim Stephens were among 25 UAB alumni recognized for their success at a company they founded, owned or managed.

Memorial and Funeral for Professor Glenn Feldman
Professor Glenn Feldman passed away suddenly on October 19. His life and family will be honored in a prayer vigil Wednesday, October 21, at 6:30 p.m. at All Saints' Episcopal Church in Homewood. His funeral will be held Friday, October 23.

Veterans Share Their Stories through History Project
Craig Wooten, a graduate of the UAB Department of History, has been listening to American war veterans share their experiences in order to help promote disaster preparedness and provide disaster relief and services to military members and their families.
The UAB College of Arts and Sciences Department of History will be memorializing beloved Professor Raymond Mohl at a service on May 1, 2015, at 3:00 p.m. in Heritage Hall Lecture Room 102.
When thinking of prospective places to complete an internship, a cemetery is not exactly what comes to mind — unless you’re history student Dana Dawson, that is. Dana enjoys the hands-on learning and, well, the quiet that comes with working at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Department of History alumnus Brian Barsanti is now the executive director of the Southern Museum of Flight, home to one of the best collections of historic aircraft in the Southeast as well as the Alabama Aviation Hall of Fame.
