UAB Department of Art and Art History Students Present Community-focused Projects Based in the Arts
The winning entries will be displayed in the Global Eye Exhibition, which opens Friday, April 21, in the new UAB INTO space located in the Sterne Library.
The Department of Art and Art History’s BFA exhibition is a highlight of students’ BFA undergraduate career. A free opening reception is set for 6-8 p.m. Friday, April 28.

The 41st Juried Annual Student Exhibition — coordinated by the Department of Art & Art History (DAAH) and presented at the Abroms-Engel Institute for the Visual Arts (AEIVA) galleries — includes student works selected by a professional artist (juror) and functions as an experiential learning opportunity for the students of the DAAH. Self-published Artist Books and Zines Made by UAB Students Now Part of Birmingham Museum of Art Collection
Books, objects and records within the Birmingham Museum of Art’s library inspired the content of the works, created by 11 Department of Art and Art History students.
Bailey Barrow of Pinson is the only student in Alabama to receive this award for 2016. She is a student in the Department of Art and Art History.

Random Logic Games, co-founded by UAB alumnus (and former Mr. UAB) Andrew Stone, left, gives talented interns such as Anna Zoladz, center, an in-depth education in the mobile games business.
Artist and juror Paul Rusconi selected the works by students in the Department of Art and Art History. A free lecture by Rusconi is set for 5 p.m. April 1, followed by a free opening reception.

UAB Students Win Gold, Silver and Best of Show at 2016 Birmingham American Advertising Awards
The students are from the College of Arts and Sciences’ Department of Art and Art History and Digital Media. More than two dozen students were honored with Gold and Silver Student ADDY awards for their individual and team projects.
A one-night-only student art showcase, “MOLTEN” will be on exhibition from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12, presented by the Department of Art and Art History.
