Political Science and Public Administration faculty win national awards
Three faculty members in the Department of Political Science and Public Administration received organization-wide awards from the Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs, and Administration.
Ten senior faculty members from the Bangladesh Public Administration Training Centre (BPATC) came to UAB for an intensive three-week training program centered around building leadership skills in the public sector.

Dr. Angela Lewis, professor in the Department of Political Science and Public Administration (formerly Government) and director of the Political Science Program, has agreed to serve as interim chair of the department.

Wendy Gunther-Canada, Ph.D. and Erika Hille Rinker, Ph.D. were named as this year’s recipients of the Provost’s Awards for Faculty Excellence. Yogesh Vohra, Ph.D. was named as the recipient of the Sam Brown Bridge Builder Award.
