""Giving to the Department of Physics

The Department of Physics and UAB's College of Arts and Sciences could not do what we do without your support. Traditional revenues such as tuition, fees, federal grants, and state funds provide for daily work, but they often vary with the level of state revenues and enrollments.

Gifts from you create a secure, concrete foundation for our future success. They benefit not only students and faculty but also the community as a whole.

Giving Funds

You can contribute to the Department of Physics in a number of ways:

The Department of Physics General Fund

Your gift to the General Fund provides the department with flexibility to support key priorities of the department. Your support allows us to continue to provide outstanding academic programs and world-class research.

Robert and Edith Bauman Endowed Scholarship in Physics

The Robert and Edith Bauman Endowed Scholarship in Physics is named for Robert and Edith Bauman in honor of their many years of service to UAB and the Birmingham community. Evan Garrison Memorial Fund in Physics

The Evan Garrison Memorial Fund in Physics is named in memory of Evan Garrison, an accomplished scholar and graduate of both the Department of Physics and the Department of Mathematics. Your gift will provide funding for tuition scholarships for undergraduate majors.

Dr. Lowell Wenger Endowed Scholarship

The Dr. Lowell Wenger Endowed Scholarship is named in memory of Dr. Lowell Wenger, former Physics Professor, Researcher, and Dean of the UAB School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. This annual scholarship provides funding to students enrolled or admitted to the Department of Physics.
