Katrina Watson serves as the President and Executive Director of The Literacy Council of Central Alabama (TLC). Under her leadership, TLC received the Birmingham Business Journal’s 2018 Nonprofit Award for agencies with an annual budget of $500,000 - $1,000,000.

A 2016 graduate of UAB’s MPA program, Katrina was inducted into Pi Alpha Alpha National Honor Society. A Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE), Katrina has taught two undergraduate fundraising courses at UAB.

In 2018, Katrina was recognized as a Rising Star by the UAB National Alumni Society and named to Birmingham Magazine’s inaugural class of Top Influencers Under 40. In 2019, she was honored as a Top 40 Under 40 by the Birmingham Business Journal.

Katrina serves on the board of the Children’s Policy Cooperative of Jefferson County and previously served on the board of the Birmingham Public Library. She is a member of the Birmingham Change Fund, a group of philanthropists who invest their time, talent, and treasure to transform lives.

Katrina and her husband have two young children.
