The Department of Political Science & Public Administration takes your future career seriously. We strongly encourage you to think about jobs as early in your course of study as possible. We offer regularly scheduled classes, events, programs, and internships designed to help our majors identify their preferences and career aspirations and develop strategies that will maximize the chances of getting good jobs in national and international settings.

Every year we offer a course on jobs in political science (PSC 170). Faculty members and UAB's Career and Professional Development Services join forces to develop an individualized program to help you identify job opportunities, sharpen skills, build your resume, and develop a plan for professional growth.
