Several faculty members in the Lifespan Developmental Psychology Program are recognized as among the foremost experts in their areas of research. For example; Dr. Karlene Ball is a recipient of a NIH MERIT awards for her research in aging. Other faculty members are accomplished in earlier stages of their careers.

Our program draws on the strength of a well-established Department of Psychology. Grant awards in the Lifespan Developmental Psychology Program are from agencies such as the National Institutes of Health, Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Administration on Children and Families, Administration for Community Living, and the Maternal and Child Health Bureau. This provides students a fertile environment for developing their research careers.
