Research Interests
My primary research interest is in play behaviors and how they impact social development, particularly in early childhood. My current research is examining how the COVID-19 pandemic and social isolation affected children's play opportunities, with a special focus on children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Our main goal is to determine if the ASD population was disproportionately impacted by the closures brought on by the pandemic. My future research will aim to examine what long-term effects the pandemic may have led to in children's socioemotional development.
