CCTS Partnership

As a CCTS partner, LSU’s investigative expertise includes clinical trials; informatics, and community based research. LSU Health Sciences Center participates in the CCTS Executive Council, training workgroups, the Southeastern Informatics Consortium and the Biostatistics Collaboratory. As part of the CCTS Training Academy, they participate in the TL1 and KL2 training programs, panels, K writing club, research team training, TIERS, workshops and offer mini-sabbaticals.

The LCRC Tissue/Biospecimen Repository collects high quality samples of fluids (i.e. whole blood, cellular blood components, plasma, serum, urine) and tissue from patients with tumors, with the tissue’s corresponding pathological variables. This material is available to qualified researchers at the Louisiana Cancer research Consortium (LCRC) and LSU Health Sciences Center and collaborating Partner investigators, including those in the CCTS and across the CTSA Consortium. The repository is the primary interface with the clinical sites at which donors are enrolled and tissue samples and clinical data are collected. The biospecimen inventory and investigator contacts are available through TissueHub.
