The School of Health Professions Graduate Professional Programs ceremony will be held on Friday, May 1, 2020, at 2:00 pm in the Jemison Concert Hall of the Alys Stephens Performing Arts Center.

Master's degree programs included in the ceremony are:

  • Biomedical and Health Sciences, MS
  • Biotechnology, MS
  • Clinical Laboratory Sciences, MS
  • Genetic Counseling, MS
  • Health Informatics, MSHI
  • Healthcare Quality & Safety, MSHQS
  • Nuclear Medicine Technology, MS

Undergraduates receiving Bachelor’s degrees will participate in the University Ceremony. Candidates for Doctoral degrees will participate in the Graduate School Doctoral Ceremony.

Dress Code/Academic Regalia

Orders for the School of Health Profession’s regalia will be taken at the UAB Bookstore located in Hill Student Center at 1400 University Blvd beginning March 2020. The color of the graduation robes for this ceremony will be black. Your order will consist of a rental cap, a rental gown, a purchase tassel, and a purchase hood. You may email your completed form to if you are unable to visit the bookstore.
