Currently, I serve two roles here at UAB. I am the Apprenticeship Supervisor for the TESOL track of the MAED/ESL program. This allows me to mentor graduate students who are about to enter the field. Furthermore, I teach a variety of courses for the INTO UAB English Language Program, including classes in area workplaces, community centers, and the Intensive English Program.

I graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a Master's in ESL teaching adult learners. My undergraduate degree is from the University of Alabama in American Studies, along with Telecommunications and Film.

My professional experience includes collaboration with ESL teachers in the Shelby County school system, and work as an Instructor at Aeon Language Schools in Japan. I have presented at numerous conferences on both a local and national level. Additionally, I have been published in TESOL Connections.

My goal is to make learning fun, and my classes frequently feature games and other active ways to practice English. I am a "people person" and genuinely enjoy getting to know each of my students individually.
