Interesting Things for ESL Students

A fun site for ESL and EFL students, featuring quizzes, word games, word puzzles, proverbs, slang expressions, anagrams, a random sentence generator and other computer assisted languge learning activities. This site is free, non-commercial and has no advertising so it's great to suggest to parents and students.

Language Learning and Technology Journal

LLT is a fully refereed, open journal which has been published (every February, June, and October) exclusively online since 1997. This journal seeks to disseminate research to foreign and second language educator on issues related to technology and language education. The focus of LLT is not technology per se, but rather issues related to language learning and language teaching, and how they are affected or enhanced by the use of digital technologies.

National Geographic - Education

National Geographic includes printer friendly maps, games, activities, and a book club for students. For teachers, the site includes lesson plans, a teacher store, and the opportunity to sign up for monthly email newsletters filled with practical ideas.
