A project of the Alabama Department of Education, ALEX is designed to index and share many types of educational materials and information through a time-saving, one-stop resource for educators, parents, and students. The majority of the lesson plans, web links, and interactive activities are connected to the Alabama Courses of Study.

TEACHING TOLERANCE
A project of the Southern Poverty Law Center, Teaching Tolerance is an interactive website with tolerance news designed to foster acceptance and understanding. The site provides online versions of Teaching Tolerance magazine, monthly classroom lesson plans, and innovative tools to help teachers identify other reliable education sites on the web.
