The Educational Specialist in Education with a Concentration in High School Education 6-12th Grade (i.e., Secondary Education) is designed for individuals who have a master's degree in education, hold current Class A teacher certification, and wish to advance their career by earning an Ed.S. degree and Class AA certification for grades 6-12.

Concentrations are offered in Biology, Chemistry, General Science, Mathematics, Physics, English Language Arts, General Social Science, and History.

Coursework takes a minimum of 30 semester hours to complete and includes courses in teacher leadership, educational research design, and culturally and linguistically responsive instruction as well as discipline-specific and advisor-approved elective courses and individual research. Prerequisite: Class A certification in the same field

Admission test: MAT or GRE
