ZoomZoom offers video, audio, and wireless screen-sharing experience across all systems including Windows, Mac, Linux, Chrome OS, iOS, Android, Blackberry, Zoom Rooms and H.323/SIP room systems.

Who is Eligible for a Zoom Account?

Students have access to Basic Zoom accounts that provide the ability to host 40-minute meetings with up to 100 participants.

Initiating a Zoom Account

***Accounts are only needed if a user desires to host a Zoom meeting and are not required to attend a Zoom meeting. If you want to schedule and host meetings, follow the directions below to initiate your UAB student account.
  • Navigate to https://uab.zoom.us
  • Click 'Sign in' and sign in with your BlazerID and password. This will create your Zoom account.
  • Student accounts cannot be used to schedule meetings inside of Canvas. Student will need to schedule Zoom meeting using https://uab.zoom.us

Student accounts can record meetings locally to their computer if they are the host or if the host grants recording permission during a meeting. See the guide below for more information.
