  • Ph.D., Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, Engineering in Aerospace/Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering

I have joined the UAB family in January of 2017, after 27 years on the faculty at Mississippi State University. My graduate degree is from Virginia Tech, in Aerospace Engineering. My undergraduate degree is from the University of Bari, Italy, in Mechanical Engineering.

Here at UAB I teach dynamics and thermodynamics to undergraduates in Biomedical, Civil, and Mechanical Engineering. I also serve as the undergraduate coordinator for Mechanical Engineering majors, so if you're interested in a Mechanical Engineering degree I'm the right person to contact!

While I am not active in research at the present time, I have worked in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) applications for many years, especially those involving rocket engines and high-speed flight.
