The purpose of the Building Services Department is to provide commercial cleaning services for all non-hospital facilities.  Our mission is to provide a clean, safe and pleasant environment for UAB students, faculty, staff and visitors. As part of the Facilities Division mission statement, we strive to provide a quality environment.

The Building Services Department is responsible for the following:

• Commercial Cleaning Services
• Pest Control Services
• Solid Waste (Trash) Removal Services
• High Rise Window Cleaning Services

 

Routine Cleaning Team

Routine Cleaning Team provides daily cleaning services for clinical/labs, classrooms, public spaces and scheduled services for private spaces.

Floorcare Maintenance Team

Floorcare Maintenance Team provides scheduled stripping and refinishing/waxing (including routine maintenance) of hard floor surfaces, carpet extraction and shampooing.

Event Support Team

Event Support Team provides special services for university related events
