GraduatesGreen and Gold Fund members now have a degree in hand and are ready for the next phase of their career or academic education. After crossing the stage on April 25, several Fund graduates are now pursuing graduate school while others are set to begin full time jobs. Check out where everyone landed.


Alicja FoksinskaAlicja Foksinska

Major: Management (Business Administration) and Information Systems
Company: Protective Life Corporation
Position: IT Auditor

Alicja Foksinska, the Chief Marketing Officer, is this year’s commencement speaker.She isgraduating with a dual degree in Information Systems and Business Management with the concentration of Business Administration.

Alicja was part of the Global and Community Leadership (GCL) Honors Program, as well as the Business Honors Program. While being a student at UAB, Alicja was heavily involved with the Green and Gold Fund since 2011, Business Student Leaders, TrailBlazers, being a Research Assistant for Dr. Keri Larson, and being a Teaching Assistant for Dr. Ken Gunnells. She also worked as an Administrative Assistant for the Diocese of Birmingham, completed an internship at the Bell Center as a Fund Development Coordinator, as well as an internship at the International Admissions Office at UAB.


Morgan

Morgan McDougall

Major: Finance (Investments and Institutions) and Management (Business Administration)
Company: Regions Financial Corporation
Position: Financial Development Analyst

Morgan MacDougall, the instrumental Fixed Income Portfolio Manager, graduated this spring with a dual degree in Finance, with the concentration in Investments and Institutions, and a Business Management, with the concentration of Business Administration.

While a student at UAB, Morgan was heavily involved with the Green and Gold Fund (beginning in 2013), Beta Alpha Psi Treasurer, Business Honors 2015 Cohort, Collat School of Business Tutoring Lab where he served as the lead tutor, Bloomberg Aptitude Test (BAT) Ambassador, and as a business development analyst intern at Founders Investment Banking.


Will Davis

George "Will" Davis

Major: Economics
Graduate School: Georgia State University

George “Will” Davis, the Healthcare Portfolio Manager, graduated with a degree in Economics. While being a student at UAB, Will was heavily involved with research for Dr. Joshua Robinson, took part in being one of the inaugural Collat School of Business Tutoring Lab tutors where he served as the lead tutor, as well as the Green and Gold Fund.

Andrew Milstead

Major: Finance (Investments and Institutions)
Company: Office of the Comptroller of the Currency
Position: Assistant National Bank Examiner

Andrew Milstead, the Industrials and Materials Portfolio Manager, graduated with a degree in Finance with the concentration in Investments and Institutions. While being a student at UAB, Andrew was involved with the Green and Gold Fund, Business Honors Program, Beta Alpha Psi, and the Clinton Global Initiative.


Sarah Phillips

Sarah Phillips

Major: Accounting (Forensic Accounting and IT Auditing)
Graduate School: Masters of Accountting, University of Alabama at Birmingham

Sarah Phillips, the Chief Accounting Officer, graduated with a degree in Accounting with a concentration in Forensic Accounting and IT Auditing. She will also be receiving a Spanish minor.

While being a student at UAB, Sarah was part of the Global and Community Leadership (GCL) Honors Program, Beta Alpha Psi, and the Accounting Internship Program where she was a tax intern at Dent & Baker.


MasonMason Jones

Major: Finance (Investments and Institutions)
Company: GE Lighting
Position: Sales Representative

Mason Jones, Fixed Income analyst, is graduated with a dual degree in Finance, with the concentration in Investments and Institutions, and Industrial Distribution, with a concentration in Medical Supplies. He is also receiving the Professional Sales Certificate.

While at UAB, Mason was heavily involved with the Green and Gold Fund, Mock Trial Competition, and Business Student Leaders.

NickNicholas Guarino

Major: Information Systems
Company: Protective Life Corporation
Position: Server Engineering Intern

Nicholas Adam Guarino, Healthcare Analyst, graduated this spring with a degree in Information systems.

While being a student at UAB, Nicholas was part of the Green and Gold Fund, Association of Information Systems, and actively participated with Trees for the Future - a non-profit dedicated to planting trees.
