Lynne Clifton takes a holistic approach to therapy and uses a variety of strategies to address client need. Having lived and worked in several states, she is particularly interested in how personal history and current environment shapes our beliefs and behaviors; and in helping clients shift from unhealthy entrenched emotional/behavioral patterns to positive healthy choices. Lynne works with individuals to address depression, anxiety, grief and loss, self-esteem and self-empowerment, stress management, job-related issues and burnout. She also works with couples to address communication problems, relationship issues, and successful co-parenting. As a Coach, Lynne helps clients reach their full potential by establishing and achieving personal and professional goals. She has written and implemented multiple grants for start-up programs, such as Family Resource & Youth Services Centers (KY) and community-based mentoring programs for teens and for young mothers (IN).

In addition to her work at the EACC, Lynne provides clinical supervision for MSWs seeking clinical licensure and is an adjunct faculty member at the University of Alabama in the MSW program. She is a member of EMDRIA, NASW and a Board Member of the Alabama Society for Clinical Social Work. Lynne’s pronouns are she/her/hers.
