Serves as co-Executive Sponsor to the Advisory Council to the Center for Teaching and Learning
Serves as chair of the Learning Resources Team for UAB's SACS Reaffirmation effort.
Serves as a member of the Advisory Council to eLearning and Professional Studies, the UAB Online Strategic Planning Steering Committee, and the Disability Support Services Technology Committee.
He also holds an Alabama Real Estate license (inactive) and is a local coordinator for American Red Cross blood drives.

Executive Director for Retention Initiatives and Academic Engagement
Her research focus is college retention and her dissertation title is, “Background or experience: Using logistic regression to predict college retention”.
Tracee worked as a teacher in Phenix City, Alabama and later earned tenure in the Shelby County School system implementing inclusion services for students with disabilities and delivering professional development sessions for fellow teachers.
Tracee accepted an assistantship in the School of Education in the Center for Educational Accountability in 2001 where she was a trainer on a Federal Department of Education grant tasked with teaching faculty to integrate technology into instruction and a project manager for a Teacher Quality grant developing modules for new educators on the Alabama teacher evaluation system.
Later, she worked in Regions Financial Corporation’s Instructional Design department where she persisted through two large mergers and was promoted to Instructional Design team lead for Human Resources developing the performance management system training program for Regions' 27,000 employees.
Tracee returned to UAB in the Provost office as a project analyst in 2007 and helped lead technology improvements in student services and the campus classroom renovation team.
She completed her PhD in Educational Leadership and recently presented her research findings at the National Symposium for College Retention.

Published over 100 manuscripts, abstracts and reviews in the areas of asthma, cystic fibrosis, and immunology.
Her laboratory was the first to demonstrate the effects of aerobic exercise on cellular and molecular responses in a mouse model of allergic asthma.
Has mentored graduate students and postdoctoral and clinical fellows and is preceptor on five UAB NIH-funded training grants.
Served as the Director of the Cellular and Molecular Physiology Graduate Program from 1998 to 2007.
