As our limited business operations model continues, it has become necessary to announce a benefit program change to help address the financial impacts of COVID-19.

After consultation with the Board of Trustees, campus and medicine leadership, UAB has made the difficult decision to suspend the voluntary retirement 403b employer match program beginning in May 2020 through September 2020. This measure is being implemented across the UA System entities and will provide essential cost savings in addition to the other measures that have been implemented.
