Setting up mobile devices for Office 365 email

1.     Open Settings
2.     Click Mail Option under settings
3.     Click Accounts under the Mail Settings
4.     Click Exchange (or your named work email), then Account
5.     Verify that the settings are as follows
a.      Email:
b.     Server:
c.      Username: blazerid@uab,edu
d.     Password: Your BlazerID password

There are primarily two email apps that are most widely used on Android, the Gmail app and the Samsung Email app.

NOTE: Android mail apps may look different across different devices, and these directions may not exactly match the options you see. Use these steps as a guide or consult the manufacturer's help for your particular device.

Change your email settings in the Gmail App
1.     Update your Gmail app to the latest version.
2.     NOTE: Do this by opening the Play Store app on your phone. Search "Gmail" and then select Update. If update option is not available, you are already on the latest version.
3.     Open the Gmail app. Go to Settings > Select your account > Incoming Settings.
4.     Verify that your settings are as follows:
a.      Email:
b.     Password: Your BlazerID password
c.      Server:
5.     After you have updated your settings, click Done

1.     Go to Settings>Accounts.
2.     Select your Samsung Email account, or Microsoft Exchange account.
3.     Click on Settings.
4.     Select your account.
5.     Go to More Settings.
6.     Verify that your settings are as follows: Account Name:
7.     Go to Exchange Server Settings
8.     Verify that your settings are as follows:
a.      Password: Your BlazerID password
b.     Exchange Server:
c.      In some cases, you will go to Exchange Server Settings to update the Email, Password and Exchange Server.
