- A ceiling mounted projector and motorized projection screen controlled centrally from the lectern or a large LCD panel

- Inputs and power to connect a laptop computer
- Support of UAB’s standard ‘clicker’ response system
- Support of Blackboard Collaborate - UAB’s standard classroom presentation/archive (audio/content) system.
Several classrooms have additional technology, based on needs of the individual school/college, including interactive white-boards, touch-screen LCD panels, and multi-projector/screen setup.
UAB, as part of the Center for Teaching and Learning, also maintains a tele-conference/distance classroom using state of the art cameras, audio, and LCD panels. This classroom is open to all faculty.
Support for technology enhanced classrooms is provided by AskIT and IT’s classroom support technicians in conjunction with school-based IT staff where available. This support model includes coverage for weekdays, nights and weekends. Training for faculty (on an individual basis) is available through UAB’s classroom support group and through the Center for Teaching and Learning.
