Testing Site Requirements

What are some of the things you look for when choosing a testing site?

We recognize each testing site is unique. That being said, to ensure patients receive the best experience and quality of care, we look at the following attributes:

Drive-Through

  • Restroom access for Live HealthSmart Alabama staff
  • If testing is required for more than two days, storage for supplies is preferred. However, if it is not feasible, Live HealthSmart Alabama can coordinate loading and unloading.
  • If testing occurs at 8AM or any time before normal business operations, a designated contact will be required to let staff in the building for restroom and/or storage access.
  • Wi-fi capabilities
  • Minimum enrollment of 100 people

Pre-Registration

How many people need to be pre-registered?

Because this is a partnership, we ask that businesses have at least 100 people pre-registered for testing. Goal numbers can be achieved by helping identify and recruit employees, neighboring businesses, family friends, etc., by distributing our flyers, and posting our site specific social media assets. If your company has an overhead intercom system or robo call, we ask you promote testing using any existing platform to stay in touch with your employees.

We also request businesses grant permission for the Live HealthSmart Alabama to stake yard signs on site.

To expedite the testing process, patients can pre-register by simply calling 205-975-2819 (CV19) prior to testing day.

Employee Testing

Does COVID-19 testing occur on company time?

To eliminate barriers to testing, we recommend businesses allow employees to be tested on company time.

Promotional Materials

Will Live HealthSmart Alabama provide promotional materials to help companies promote their testing site?

Yes! Once a host site has been approved, Live HealthSmart Alabama will provide social media assets for Facebook and Twitter with company's name, address, and testing times. Additionally, testing sites will receive a flyer with information to register.
