Dr. Kessler completed his medical training at the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine, followed by a combined Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine Residency at the Ohio Valley Medical Center in Wheeling, West Virginia. Before joining our faculty in 2014, Dr. Kessler also completed a fellowship in Critical Care Anesthesiology at UAB. With dual appointments in the Departments of Emergency Medicine and Anesthsiology, Dr. Kessler serves on our Clinical Trials Team (CTT), which supervises and coordinates the enrollment of ED patients into research studies.
