dothan ban

Dothan, Alabama is a city filled with innovative and entrepreneurial opportunities.

We aim to make an impact on their economic development through local innovation and entrepreneurship programs. It is a community that enables us to partner on innovations and has a substantial healthcare community and robust healthcare delivery system that can benefit.

Dothan Community Entrepreneurship Program

The Marnix E. Heersink Institute for Biomedical Innovation is partnering with Troy University and Wallace Community College to host the Dothan Community Entrepreneurship Program. This is a 12-month intervention program directed at people in poverty or disadvantaged circumstances who want to start and run their own businesses. Poverty is one of the leading causes of health problems in the U.S. We hope this program will help entrepreneurs coming from disadvantaged backgrounds improve their circumstances, and therefore improve overall healthy living conditions for themselves, their families, and their communities.
