Description |
Fibrinogen levels are decreased in disseminated intravascular coagulation and in liver disease. Further, in liver disease, abnormal fibrinogen, called dysfibrinogenemia, is common. Chronically elevated fibrinogen confers an increased risk of arterial thrombosis. |
