DOM Employee of the Month for April 2013

Susan Borders has been selected as the recipient of the Department of Medicine Employee of the Month award for April 2013.   Dr. Lisle Nabell Susan Borders EOMjoined Harrold McDermott in congratulating Susan for receiving this honor.  Susan is a Patient Services Coordinator II in the Division of Hematology/Oncology.

Susan cares deeply about the quality of the work she produces. She is known for her attention to detail in routine tasks and in the big picture items like tackling HIPAA compliance issues to ensure that necessary records are out in an appropriate and timely fashion.  She takes on new unassigned tasks and problem solves in a very independent fashion.  She excels in anticipating potential problems and then setting about determining a solution before presenting the issue.  Susan takes pride in what she does, including her interaction with our patients.  They often comment about how helpful she is to them.  She is willing to spend the time to ensure that patients understand what they need to do.

Please join us in congratulating Susan Borders at her award reception to be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 from 3:00 to 4:00 PM in West Pavilion, Conference Room E.
