Rich Searles, May 2018 Employee of the Month

Rich Searles has been selected as the Department of Medicine Employee of the Month for May 2018! Rich is an Information Systems Specialist I in the Division of Preventive Medicine (DOPM). He was notified by Department of Medicine representative Lauryn Schultz, Clinical Operations Administrator, as well as DOPM Division Director Mona Fouad, MD, MPH, Division Administrator Anitra Baylor, and Information Systems Specialist III Byron Chancellor.

Rich has been with the division for many years and is a valued member of the team. He is great to work with due to his calm, confident manner. He completes his tasks with efficiency and skill, assisting employees with their many technology needs, in everything from weekly video conferences for faculty development discussions, to monthly seminar series, and overall assistance with hardware and software. Rich is very thorough and accurate, paying close attention to detail in the various projects he’s assigned, and is able to solve problems and produce quality results.

Rich always treats everyone with the utmost respect and is always willing to lend a helping hand to a co-worker. He has a unique way of explaining the most complicated IT processes so anyone can understand, and he invests in the growth of others by educating and teaching how to do things rather than doing it for you. Rich constantly goes above and beyond to provide support to everyone. Without his invaluable contribution, it would not be possible for DOPM investigators and staff to carry out excellent research.

Please join us in congratulating Rich for being selected as Department of Medicine Employee of the Month for May 2018! A reception will be held in his honor at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday, May 17, in Medical Towers room 634.
