Biography

Dr. Page is from Jacksonville, Florida. He graduated from Florida State University Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in Physics and minor in Mathematics. He stayed at Florida State University for medical school where he graduate Alpha Omega Alpha. He attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham for his Emergency Medicine residency. Dr. Page subsequently completed the multidisciplinary Critical Care Medicine Fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis/Barnes-Jewish Hospital under the Department of Medicine.

Following completion of fellowship, Dr. Page returned to UAB as an assistant professor where he works clinically in both the Emergency Department and the Medical ICU and is dually appointed in the Department of Emergency Medicine and the Department of Internal Medicine. Dr. Page’s primary academic interest is clinical research related to critically ill and injured patients. In training, he published original research on sepsis epidemiology, ventilator mechanics and the deleterious effects of transient hyperoxia. He is currently working on an MSPH in Clinical and Translational Research through UAB School of Public Health. Dr. Page is serving as the Site-PI or Co-PI for multiple RCTs.

Dr. Page directs the Critical Care Residency Track for the UAB Emergency Medicine Residency Program and co-directs the MICU rotation for EM residents and the CCM elective senior residents. He serves as a review for Annals of Emergency Medicine.
