Dr. Siler is a graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Medicine and the UAB emergency medicine residency. Following residency, he completed a fellowship focused on health administration at UAB and obtained a Masters Degree in Health Administration. He is currently an Assistant Professor with the UAB Department of Emergency Medicine as well as a physician on the Therapeutic Hypothermia Team and Hyperbaric Oxygen/Wound Care Team. He also serves as assistant medical director of the emergency department and the medical director of the Highlands Medical Emergency Team. Outside of the clinical practice of emergency medicine his interests include healthcare administration, physician leadership development, critical care, patient safety/quality and resident/medical student education.
