Mission

To conduct world-class acute care research that ameliorates health care disparities and improves the health and well-being of emergency patients at UAB and throughout our society.  We also seek to foster the next generation of academic emergency physicians and acute care scientists to expand and sustain this work.

Vision

To be a high-performance acute care research team, as measured by the quality of the team science we produce, the impact of that science on patient important outcomes and public health disparities, the scientists we develop, and the trust placed in us by our patients and community, pre-hospital providers, colleagues, the institution and funding agencies that support our research.
