Our Selma Family Medicine Hospitalist Fellowship is a year-long, certificate program for family medicine physicians seeking deeper expertise in providing hospital-based care and one of only a few nationwide that include a rural focus. Our goal is to train family physicians who provide outstanding collaborative and comprehensive inpatient care and be the future leaders in hospital medicine.

The fellowship offers one-on-one supervision from a Hospitalist Service attending physician. The fellowship is housed at Vaughan Regional Medical Center in Selma, a sole 175-bed community hospital with open ICU, and our fellow participates in hospital processes including quality improvement, utilization review and medical education.

Our fellowship features dedicated research time and financial support for continuing medical education and other professional development. Fellows are paid $70,000 per year, plus benefits.
