The University of Alabama School of Medicine offers seminars, workshops, and mini-courses to encourage and facilitate continuing professional growth of physicians and other health professionals.
Continuing medical education programs at Huntsville for practicing physicians cover a wide range of medical, surgical, social, behavioral, and health care delivery subjects. Activities include weekly grand rounds in all the major specialties, and some one- to two-day conferences. Grand Rounds are open to area physicians and other health professionals without charge.

All CME programs at Huntsville are accredited for Category 1 of the AMA Physician's Recognition Award and often are also accredited for specified hours by specialty organizations.
