We boast in having UAB academics and resources in a community “hands on” setting. UAB Selma Family Medicine is one of the few truly rural family medicine residency programs in the US. It has a history of training very successful and compassionate physicians. Being an unopposed program allows our residents to be exposed to a very diverse population with varied medical conditions. Our community doctors and enthusiastic supporters of the program and participate in training. Our 5-5-5 program offers a real family feeling for our residents.
