Research Interests
Studies in Dr. Bertrand's laboratory focus on Notch-receptor signaling. Historically, Dr. Bertrand has been interested in the role that Notch-1 and Notch-2 receptor signaling may play during normal and malignant B-cell development, and the potential role for dysfunctional Notch in epithelial tumors such as those of the prostate and colon. In more recent studies, we have focused on a potential interplay between Notch-signaling, diet, and regulation of fat depots.
