Five dollars will buy you the best chili UAB Medicine staff and faculty can cook at the 4th Annual Employee Chili Cook-off. All proceeds benefit the UAB Benevolent Fund. The event will be held Thursday, Feb. 27, from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. in the UAB Hospital West Pavilion Atrium and the UAB Hospital-Highlands Cafeteria.

More than 20 teams will represent colleagues from across UAB Medicine.

A panel of judges will award prizes for Grand Champion and Most Team Spirit for the cooks with the best display of theme, costumes and decorations. There will also be a People's Choice Award decided by popular vote, so come cast your ballot for your favorite chefs.

Tickets are $5 each. T-shirts and aprons will also be on sale.

All proceeds go to the UAB Benevolent Fund, which helps employees in need and community organizations.
