A collage of the 2017 UAB SOM Art Show submissions The 2018 School of Medicine Art Competition & Show is now accepting entries through Feb. 26. The art show, co-sponsored by the Alabama Alpha Chapter of Alpha Omega Alpha and the Alabama Museum of the Health Sciences, will be held on Tuesday, April 10, from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. in The Edge of Chaos on the fourth floor of Lister Hill Library at 1700 University Blvd. All are welcomed to compete and take home amazing pieces of art.
UAB School of Medicine students, residents, fellows and faculty are invited to donate one or more original pieces of art to display in one special evening of art. Reception attendees will vote on the entries, with winners announced that evening. Deliver entries to the UAB Historical Collections on the third floor of Lister Hill Library from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. during Monday-Friday.
The 18th annual reception will feature a silent auction with all proceeds benefiting the Hope and Cope Psychosocial Program in the Alabama Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders at Children’s of Alabama.
