Stephanie Berger, M.D., assistant professor in the Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics, is one of two junior faculty winners for the Dean's Excellence Award in Teaching.
Berger completed her medical degree at the University of North Carolina's School of Medicine and her residency in Pediatrics at UAB/Children's Hospital. She is a co-director of the pediatric clerkship and a lead mentor for the Hirschowitz learning community. She enjoys teaching in small group settings and exploring teaching strategies that increase student engagement and interaction.
