RS6329 Shalev lab 29 scrOn Feb. 4 from 1 to 2 p.m., Dr. Selwyn Vickers, dean of the School of Medicine, will present at a Faculty Town Hall in the Finley Conference Center. The topic will be the Academic Enrichment Fund and its impact for basic scientists in both the joint health sciences and clinical departments.

This will be an opportunity to understand the academic enrichment fund, and how those resources are being used to support initiatives relevant to research faculty. These include graduate student support, support for GBS, support for T32 grants, new interdisciplinary research initiatives, and many more items.

The Academic Enrichment Fund was created in 2014 to establish a strategic commitment from the UAB Medicine clinical enterprise to direct funds back into the School of Medicine. Those funds are specifically targeted to grow nationally competitive academic research programs that will continue to allow UAB to be a leader.

The Finley Conference Center is located in the Kaul Genetics Building. All faculty are welcome to attend.
