UAB’s primary care departments are leading the way for improved health outcomes and medical student education. Through student programs, community engagement initiatives and direct service, the Departments of Family and Community Medicine, Medicine, and Alabama AHEC are serving the state through innovative primary care efforts.
To contribute to the ongoing effort to vaccinate all Alabamians, Equal Access Alabama partnered with several organizations, including Alabama Statewide Area Health Education Centers Program, to deliver vaccines to underserved rural areas by going door to door with doses.
