Biography
Thomas Evely, D.O. is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon who specializes in sports medicine and shoulder reconstruction. He focuses on the surgical and non-surgical management of shoulder, elbow and knee injuries is patients of all ages.
Dr. Evely grew up in Northeast (Erwin) Tennessee where he graduated from East Tennessee State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health. He then attended medical school at VCOM-VT in Blacksburg, VA. He returned to East Tennessee State University where he completed his orthopaedic surgery residency.
After residency, Dr. Evely completed an ACGME sports medicine and shoulder fellowship at Plancher Orthopedics and Sports Medicine based in New York, NY and Greenwich, CT. During fellowship, he was able to train with some of the best shoulder and sports medicine surgeons in New York, Connecticut, Campbell Clinic (Memphis, TN), Vail-Summit Orthopedics (Vail, CO) and University of Colorado throughout the year.
