Biography

Dr. Erin Ransom is a hand and upper extremity surgeon in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She completed Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham where she served as Administrative Chief Resident. She completed Hand and Upper Extremity fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Following fellowship, she completed an additional fellowship specializing in Pediatric Hand Surgery at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta which included treating patients with spasticity and tetraplegia at the Shepherd Center for Rehabilitation. She has had extensive training in the care of patients with upper extremity complaints with a special emphasis on brachial plexus, thoracic outlet syndrome and pediatric hand injuries.
